On December 14th Southern Oregon Sound Chorus entertained at five local retirement homes along with the men of Rogue Voices. Each group sang songs on their own and a couple SATB songs together. It’s always fun to bring some holiday cheer to the residents and each show ended with a sing-along to “We Wish You A Merry Christmas.” We were all dressed in holiday garb or ugly sweaters, the funniest of which is Bill’s traditional sweater with a llama on the front and back!
A holiday party followed the sing-outs at Applebees restaurant where we filled their back room. The chorus presented Bill with a thank you gift basket from Harry & David and Pam gave out homemade cookie packages to everyone.
The chorus will be dark until January 7, 2025, when we hope to recruit even more new members and learn some new music. We already have two new songs chosen and already on the website so members can listen to the tracks and be prepared to hit the ground running in 2025.
