We had a great turnout for our March 19th rehearsal even though some were still out sick.  We moved up our start time from 6:30 pm to 6:00 pm so we could all get home a bit earlier.  We welcomed a new guest, Donna Reller, who is a friend of SOS member Gail Rosenberg.  Donna has been a Sweet Adeline in the past, actually from our chorus when it started in Ashland many years ago!  Donna was a lead before but is giving baritone a try (yeah Donna!).  Two other returning guests included Kara Mohr and Trudi Cheever,.  Trudi is becoming a member of SOS and we hope Kara will too.

Our Assistant Director Kim Clark, is leading us in physical and vocal warm-ups.  Kim bravely got us through our time without a director and intends to continue her director training with Region 12.  We really appreciate all her efforts for the chorus.

We have an ambitious learning schedule in order to quickly build our repertoire in the next weeks, reviewing or learning five songs each rehearsal.  It was great to have so many of us "off paper" on Tuesday so that Bill could work with us on interp and fine tuning.  It is funny though when he has to sing tenor phrases in falsetto, since he normally sings baritone in his quartet!   Kudos to Bill for trying!  One of the songs we're working on is our National Anthem so that we may sing at a couple of our local Medford Rogues baseball games this season.  Always fun to do.

It's encouraging and gratifying to watch our chorus start to grow again.
